About Gledholt
Our fellowship has a real family feel. We have a membership of around 60 and a regular congregation that spans an age range from 0 to 90+. Our building has modern and flexible facilities for worship and other activities.
The church is situated in an urban area of West Yorkshire, close to Huddersfield town centre, with excellent public transport links to Leeds and Manchester. The church has good relationships with other churches within the Methodist circuit as well as with neighbouring churches of different denominations. We are actively involved in Churches Together in Huddersfield and HOPE Huddersfield. Many church members are involved in youth activities including weekends away and an annual Camp.
We describe our mission as 'gathering, growing, going for the glory of God': we gather for worship, prayer and fellowship; we grow through prayer, teaching, worship, Bible study and service; we go out into the community and wider world to serve and witness for the glory of God.
Our Sunday services are based around a Methodist format but we use creative and interactive worship styles as well as the more traditional, and we try to get a balance of music styles each week. We have a small worship band that leads the music.
Visitors can be sure of a warm welcome, with an opportunity to chat over tea and coffee at the end of worship.
